Blazing Stars Montessori School is a nonprofit school serving children ages 3-9. We are in our second year and we are adding to our team to serve more families.
Our mission is to make Montessori education a realistic option for all families. Our Board of Trustees, our staff, and our families reflects the diversity of our larger community and we need the ideas and opinions of every member of our team so that we can best fulfill our mission; You will have a voice in how our school operates. We invest in developing our team to better serve families; support and funding available to complete certifications and trainings.
Assistant
You will be spending your day with children ages 3-9. You will get to know each child’s unique interests and personality and support them to choose activities from a wide range of options in the learning environment. You will also work with small groups of children (2-4 at a time) singing songs, reading books, preparing food, and playing games.
An ideal candidate is patient and kind, enjoys working with young children, is curious to learn about each child’s interests and personalities, and open to learning new educational methods. Blazing Stars Montessori is a growing school with unlimited opportunities for advancement and significant support to complete certifications and trainings.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age. Must have at least one year of professional childcare experience. Fluent Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese or other language is a bonus but not required.
Wages & Hours
Starting wages are commensurate with experience. We offer opportunities for advancement and wage increases.
Currently hiring for part time with opportunity to grow to full time.

Qualifications
Montessori experience is a bonus, but not required. Candidates who are not Montessori-trained must be willing to complete Montessori training (financial support is available). A minimum of three years of teaching experience is required.
Wages & Hours
Starting wages are commensurate with experience, depending on credentials and prior experience. We offer clear opportunities for advancement and regular wage increases as the school grows. We are currently hiring for part-time and full-time positions.
